Annual Examination :

First & Second and Third & Fourth Semester Examinations and Projects :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • The B.M.S.  B.Com. (Accounting & Finance), B.Com. (Banking & Insurance), B.M.M., B.Sc. (Information Technology) Examinations shall be conducted at the end of each Semester.

 

 

 

  • The Evaluation of the performance of the students of B.M.S. in theory papers shall be on the basis of both internal assessment (40%) and Semester End Examination (60%). Internal evaluation shall be on the basis of class assignments, group discussions Unit Tests, if any and seminar attendance etc. The Semester end examination shall be held at the end of each Semester and shall be of two hours duration.

 

 

 

  • The Responsibility of evaluation during the first 4 semesters shall rest with the College wherein the students are admitted for the course. The College shall carry out the internal evaluation for theory papers in Semester V and VI while the University conduct the Semester end examination for these two Semesters.

 

 

 

  • The evaluation of Project shall be carried out by the examiners appointed by the University and the grades awarded for the proect will be included in the result of Semester-VI examination.

 

 

 

 

  • A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester-II if he/she passes in Semester-I or if he/she fails in not more than two theory Papers of Semester-I

 

 

 

  • A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester-III if he/she passes in each Semester-I and Semester-II or if he/she fails in not more than two theory Papers of Semester-I and Semester-II taken together.

 

 

 

  • A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester-IV if he/she passes in each Semester-I, II and III or if he/she passes Semester I & II and fails in not more than two theory Papers of Semester-II and Semester-III taken together.

 

 

 

  • A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester-V if he/she passes in each Semester-I, II, III, and IV or if he/she passes Semester-I, Semester-II and Semester-III and fails in not more than two theory Papers of Semester-III and Semester-IV taken together.

 

 

 

  • A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester-VI if he/she passes in each Semester-I, II, III, IV and V or if he/she passes Semester-I, Semester-II and Semester III and fails in not more than two theory Papers of Semester-IV and Semester-V taken together.

 

 

 

  • A candidate who fails in any particular theory paper/s shall reappear for that theory paper/s. However, his/her internal events shall be carried over but he/she shall not be entitled to any class.

 

 

 

  • A B.M.S. candidate who does not secure a minimum grade of C in Project-I and Project-II has to submit a fresh project till he/she secures a grade of C.(Evaluation of Project-I & II and viva-voca examination - Grade O-75-100/ A-65-74/B-55-64/ C-50-54/D-35-49/ E-25-34/ F-024)

 

 

 

  • A (BMS) candidate shall have to obtain Grade C in this seven points scale grade in Project evaluation and viva-voca taken together to obtain 50% marks in Project work.

 

F.

Annual Examination: (ATKT) (All Courses)

 

Students who have been declared failed at the examination or who have been allowed to keep terms for the higher class shall appear as Ex-Student/ATKT Student respectively for the annual examination held by the college. The students should submit the prescribed Examination form along with the documents and Examination Fee within the stipulated time..The Annual Examination shall be of three hours duration and of 100 marks per subject, covering the entire syllabus.

Standard of Passing :

 

 

 

 

B.Com.: The Passing in the subject shall be based on the aggregate of marks of the First and Second Term Examinations taken together or marks of First Term/Second Term Examinations and additional examination taken together.

 

A student is required to secure a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in each subject to pass the examination.

 

 

 

R.4166 (B.M.S.)  

 

 

 

*A candidate shall have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of each theory paper and a minimum grade of C in each project wherever applicable to pass a particular semester provided that the candidate must have obtained a minimum of 35% of marks in semester end examination for each theory paper.

 

 

 

*A candidate shall be placed in First Class with Distinction if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each theory paper and with a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semester-V& VI and at least 70% marks in theory papers of Semesters-V & VI taken together in aggregate.

 

 

 

*A candidate shall be placed in First Class if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each theory paper and with a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semester-V& VI and at least 60% marks in theory papers of Semesters-V & VI taken together in aggregate.

 

 

 

*A candidate shall be placed in Second Class if he/she secures a minimum of 50% in each theory paper and with a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semester V& VI and less than 60% marks in theory papers of Semesters-V & VI
taken together in aggregate.

 

 

Performance Grading-Standard of Passing B.Com.-A/c & Fin. B.Com. Banking & Ins. and B.M.M.

 

 

 

 

The performance grading of the student shall be of the seven point ranking system as under :-

The Performance grading shall be based on the aggregate performance of Internal assessment and semester end examination.

 

 

 

Student must get 40% marks in aggregate. i.e. 40%marks in Internal Assessment (i.e. 40% of 40=16)as well as 40% marks in Semester End Examination (i.e. 40% of 60=24),separately in order to pass the examination.

 

 

 

Carry forward of Internal Marks: A candidate who fails in any particular paper shall be allowed to reappear for that theory paper/s.

 

 

Standard of Passing B. Sc. (I.T.) 

 

 

  • A student is said to have passed if he/she secures 40% of marks allotted in head of passing. Theory of 200 masks and (TW (Term Work)/Practical/Tutorial of 50 marks) are treated as separate heads of passing.

 

 

 

  • A student is said to have passed Semester-I, if the student passes Semester-I, the student passes in all heads of passing of the semester.

 

 

 

  • A student is eligible to be admitted to semester-II, irrespective of no. of heads of failure in the semester-I

 

 

 

  • A student is eligible for admission to semester III if either the student passes semester-I & semester-II or, the student fails in a combination of Theory and/or Practical taken in semester-I or semester-II or together, where the total marks does not exceed 200.

 

 

 

  • A student is eligible to be admitted to semester-IV irrespective of no of heads of failure in the semester-III. However, the student has to clear semester-I & II in order to appear for Semester-IV examination.

 

 

 

  • A student is eligible to be admitted to semester-V if, either the student passes Semester-III & IV or the student fails in a combination of theory and/or practical taken in semester-III or semester-IV or together, where the total marks does not exceed200.

 

 

 

  • A student is eligible to be admitted to semester-VI irrespective of no of heads of failure in the Vth semester . The Results of VI Semester should be kept in abeyance until the student clears III, IV and Vth Semester in full.

 

 

 

  • The class is awarded semester wise for Semesters-I, II, III and IV. However, Semesters V and VI will be taken together for award of class i.e. in the final year.

 

 

 

 

  • Award of class is based on first attempt and all papers given in the same sitting. 

 

 

 

  • Passing in parts will be awarded Pass class irrespective of the cumulative percentage marks.

 

Award of Class :

 

 

 

 

Distinction is awarded for 75% and above 

 

 

 

First Class is awarded for 60% and above but below 75%

 

 

 

Second Class is awarded for 50% and above but below 60%

 

 

 

Pass class is awarded for all below 50%

 

 

 

A repeaters examination will be held after the declaration of the regular examination in I,II,III and IV semesters.
