OUR HISTORY
Bunts Sangha Mumbai’s Group of Higher Educational Institutions located at Buntara Bhavana Marg, Kurla (E), Opposite Buntara Bhavana, is rightly termed as 'dream project' of the Bunts Community. The institutions, namely, Anna Leela College of Commerce & Economics and Shobha Jayaram Shetty College for BMS. have completed their second academic year 2009-10. Permitted to start B.Com. and B.M.S. courses by the University of Mumbai and the Government of Maharashtra, there was a good response from the students to seek admissions in these courses. To begin with, the management provided all the basic amenities and infrastructure meant to undertake academic activities. Well equipped Computer and Electronic laboratories, airy and big Class rooms, good and spacious Library and excellent teaching faculty are the hallmark of these Institutions.
The College started new courses from 2009-10 onwards and adequate arrangements were made to accommodate (he requirements of the Courses and swdents. Surely, these courses have attracted large number of the students. In the second year as well, the College has shown good results. In F.Y.B.M.S. the result is 93%. 100% in SYBMS. 76% in FYB.Com and 100% in S.Y.B.Com. The result in FYBMM is 85%, 100% in FYBAF and 91% in BScIT.
The management has decided, in principle to give preference to merit alone. As a linguistic minority Institution, it will also attract the students of their own community. The College authorities also provide financial help to the needy students. The College is developing its contacts with industries to provide students summer internships, final placements and other academic assignments. The management is keenly interested to encourage the students to take part in Sports, and various socio-cultural activities.
