The year 2012-2013 has been the most eventful experience and exciting forBMMdepartment of Anna Leela College as therewere many events happening throughout the year. The academic year started with the new batch of FYBMM from the month of July 2012. An Orientation programwas organized for the FY students and theywere briefed about the college and their academic syllabus. Fresher’s party was organized for them by their seniors so that they feel comfortable in the atmosphere of the college andknoweach otherwell.

Results of Semester V Mumbai University examinationwere declared on 9th October 2012. Ms. Flora Bhandari stood first, Mr. Karan Karkal came in second and Mr. Anand Maney stood third. Now for the final semester students are looking forward to put up their best step on the path of success and graduate fromcollege with very good marks.

With the onset of new classes a new idea of organizing an inter-collegiate fest came up in students mind. From past two yearsBMMdepartmentwas organizing an intra-collegiate Photography event PICSO but this year they thought of a big event consisting of various small competition’s wherein students from various colleges in the townwould come and participate and explore their talent. Studentsworked on this idea for severalmonths and finallyBMMdepartmentwas proud to announce their first intercollegiate BMM fest “Aagneya-Feel the fire within” on 8th September 2012. With the support of College management, Faculty and Coordinator studentsworked on the fest with full energy and determination which resulted into the Success of the fest

A group from BMM department participated in VES College BMM Fest “Impressions” where our college stood on3rdplace for being the best participating college in the fest. In total studentswon 8 prizes in their crucial events. 1st prize in Treasure hunt won by Abhay Mane & Pratik Shetty, 2nd Prize in Fotomation (Photography event) won by BidulVerghese, 2nd prize in Band Eventwon by our college band members SatyanBhuvad, AkashPatil, Tony Sebastian, Akshay Shetty & Pratik Shetty, 3rd prize inWar of DJs won by Evhon.J. Tony Sebastian won 3rd prize in ‘No one knows what’ event which was a talent hunt event wherein Tony showed his rapping skills and won the reward. 2nd prize in Ramp show won by team of 8 students (Vikas Shetty, Sayyed Shoaib, Babar Qureshi, Salman Qureshi, Rama Krishna,Mirza Mehdi andAmarKonchikorve).1st prize in Cold Drink Pongwon by Karim Ansari.
